Interstate 35 Lane Closures From Jan. 30-Feb. 5, 2021

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures due to planned road work, yielding a helpful driving primer in the process.

We've noted this before, but it's worth repeating: This weekly list of lane closures along the key artery provides a helpful driving guide. How? By checking it beforehand, drivers deftly avoid spots along the key artery that may have traffic congestions by altering their routes ever so slightly.

With that, here is the latest list of lane closures that covers the period between Jan. 30 to Feb. 5:

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Monday, Feb. 1 through Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right-turn lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Tuesday, Feb. 2 through Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Westbound Parmer Lane right lane closed daily at I-35
  • Tuesday, Feb. 2 through Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right-turn lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Wednesday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through February 2021
• Northbound to southbound I-35 U-turn closed continuously at Rundberg Lane
  • Through October 2021
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35. The Cameron Road entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 to eastbound US 290 East flyover closed
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed from St. Johns Avenue to the northbound I-35 to northbound US 183 flyover. The northbound I-35 to northbound US 183 flyover will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 reduced to one lane from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from US 183 to Park Plaza Drive
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 through Monday, Feb. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Rundberg Lane to Barwood Park
  • Sunday, Jan. 31 through Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Rutherford Lane
  • Monday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from the Rundberg Lane entrance ramp to the southbound US 183 to southbound I-35 flyover
  • Monday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 right lane closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35
  • Monday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit and Cameron Road entrance ramp will also be closed.

• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed from I-35 to Carver Avenue

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Nelms Drive
  • Saturday, Jan. 30 from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 William Cannon exit (#228) closed
  • Saturday, Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left-turn lane closed daily at Stassney Lane. The southbound to northbound I-35 U-turn will also be closed.
  • Monday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
• Westbound Stassney Lane right lane closed at I-35
  • Monday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
• Eastbound Stassney Lane right lane closed at I-35

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Stassney Lane to Teri Road
