Interstate 35 Lane Closures For July 25-31, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, offering a helpful guide for the traveling public. Motorists checking the list before their outings can learn which areas of potential congestion should be avoided.

The latest list of closures covers the period between July 25-31.

I-35 AT NORTHWEST BOULEVARD

• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly at Williams Drive
  • Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at Williams Drive
  • Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit
  • Through early 2021

RM 620 ROUNDABOUT (I-35 TO DEEP WOOD DRIVE)

• Chisholm Trail closed continuously from RM 620 to Sunset Drive
  • Through Monday, Aug. 3
• Eastbound RM 620 reduced to one lane nightly from I-35 to Chisholm Trail
  • Sunday, July 26 through Wednesday, July 29 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound US 183 Cameron Road exit closed
  • Through September
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183 exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Saturday, July 25 from 4 a.m. until 10 a.m.
• Northbound and southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly from US 183 to Braker Lane
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 entrance ramp north of US 290 closed nightly
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 flyover closed nightly at US 183
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Eastbound and westbound St. Johns Avenue closed nightly at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Cameron Road to Clock Tower Drive. The Lamar Boulevard exit and the entrance ramp north of Cameron Road will also be closed.

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Rutherford Lane to Cameron Road

• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Carver Avenue
  • Sunday, July 26 through Thursday, July 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily from Blackson Avenue to US 290
  • Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 to US 290 flyover closed nightly
  • Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Eastbound Oltorf Street closed at I-35
  • Tuesday, July 28 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right turn lane closed nightly at Oltorf Street
  • Wednesday, July 29 through Thursday, July 30 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Boggy Creek Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Monday, July 27 through Saturday, August 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, July 27 through Saturday, August 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Stassney Lane to the William Cannon Drive exit (#229)
  • Monday, July 27 through Saturday, August 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Eastbound William Cannon Drive right turn lane closed at the southbound I-35 frontage road

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
