LGBTQIA Families Invited To Virtual Halloween Celebration
Virtual Monster Mash is an online event designed as a safe place for LGBTQIA families to meet, make art and celebrate from safety of home.
AUSTIN, TX—It's not too late to celebrate Halloween with fun and creativity! Join Dougherty Arts Center for a virtual Monster Mash and an invitation for LGBTQIA families to share the experience with other families from the safety and comfort of home.
Deadline to RSVP is Oct. 30 at 3 p.m., and registrants will receive a unique zoom link via their email address. The event scheduled Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. is intended to provide LGBTQIA families a safe space to meet, make art, and celebrate their own inner silly monsters. All children participating must have a caregiver present and participating.
The free virtual Monster Mash will offer families the opportunity to join live zoom rooms with other families and artists, where they can share their costumes and make a fun, glittery, gooey, colorful mess. The virtual event will also feature a costume contest, with every attendee given the opportunity to drop by the Dougherty Arts Center for a Monster Swag Bag via curbside pickup ahead of the event.
