Literary Festival Virtual Events Showcase Best-Selling Authors

Books In Bloom will host, "In Conversation with Robin DiAngelo, Author of White Fragility", a discussion about her bestselling book on race.

AUSTIN, TX —Bibliophiles will have the chance to explore an all-star lineup of bestselling authors celebrate the joys of books and reading with the return of the Books in Bloom Festival. The virtual events are designed for communities to enjoy from the safety and comfort of home. The festival welcomes world-famous authors as part of a virtual series, where participants will enjoy readings and panel discussions from acclaimed writers.

Friends and neighbors are invited to the festival's upcoming discussion, In Conversation with Robin DiAngelo, Author of White Fragility on Thursday, August 20 beginning at 6 p.m. Race and social justice educator, Robin DiAngelo, helps audiences understand White Fragility and move beyond it toward awareness, accountability, allyship. DiAngelo's will share insight from her #1 New York Times bestselling book White Fragility: Why Its So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism; DiAngelo will offer participants a glimpse into ways to develop an antiracist framework and accountability practice based on authentic relationships, education, and honest self-reflection.
