Loads Of Pun To Be Had At Virtual Pun-Off World Championship
The O.Henry Museum will host its 43rd Annual Pun-Off World Championship for clever Austin residents to enter for chance to take top honors.
AUSTIN, TX—O.Henry Museum will host its 43rd Annual Pun-Off World Championship in a virtual twist this year as a result of the pandemic. The online competition of punning invites Austin's cleverest residents to submit their videos as part of the Punniest of Show, where the public will vote on their favorite submissions all online.
Beginning Saturday, Oct. 17 a randomization of persons who registered to be contestants will select those who will be invited to enter a Punniest of Show video under 2 minutes in length. Deadline for their entries is midnight (CDT) on Thursday, October, 15.
The entries will be revealed on the website punoff2020.com at which time viewers can begin voting. From Oct. 17 through Oct. 24 (midnight) pun-loving fans may vote (one vote per person) on all videos at punoff2020.com. First, second, and third place winners with the most votes will be announced the next day on punoff2020. com. For more information on this free event, click HERE.
