Luminations Returns Brighter Than Ever In 2020

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center hosts a winter wonderland filled with thousands of sparkling luminaries lighting the grounds.

AUSTIN, TX— Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center delights in inviting the community to the return of its Luminations tradition brighter than ever in 2020! Audiences will experience a winter wonderland at the Center featuring thousands of shimmering, sparkling luminaries lighting the path.

The light-filled spectacular runs Friday, Nov. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 3 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Members only on Mondays, closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 & Jan. 1). Guests this year will enjoy the opportunity to take a stroll through the naturally beautiful Texas Arboretum among the illuminated oaks and the light-splashed forts of Fortlandia. Wildflower Café will also feature a special seasonal menu of take-along foods to enjoy throughout the holidays.

Collide Arts will showcase an audio and visual art installation for guests to experience, and there will be an opportunity to create new memories and traditions as you bath in the lights of an open-air illuminated tunnel on the trail. Also returning this year, though set in an all new environment, is the moon-ring swing. A crowd pleaser from 2019, guests will have the chance to be cradled or gently swing in the glow of a moon-ring swing.
