Mandelyn Reese - “The Street Angel” Discusses Her Inspiring Work

Promoting kindness since 2012 in Los Angeles as "The Street Angel" - Mandelyn Reese discusses her work, in which she finds a great purpose.

Mandelyn Reese, also known as “The Street Angel” began perpetuating her mission of promoting kindness in 2012. Reese recently celebrated her tenth anniversary just last month on August 17th, making it ten years since the start of her mission as “The Street Angel.” “Mustering a lot of courage and feeling a strong sense of purpose,” Mandelyn Reese describes the start of “advocating publicly for the world to remember that kindness matters for all.” It was August of 2012, while living in Los Angeles that Ms. Reese designed angel wings and made signs which she still holds up, consisting of inspiring messages advocating for kindness while dressed in “angel attire.” Reese publicly stood on the sidewalks, and has advocated at many events to perpetuate messages representing encouragement for all. Reese states, “Truly, I've learned to have incredible amounts of courage. When I first got started on my very first day dressed like an angel, standing on the sidewalk of a street in Los Angeles, I was trembling and shaking like a leaf. Over time, I got used to it more and more, and challenged myself to do it in various settings, including some pretty high-end Hollywood red carpets. I was even invited to be on the coveted red carpet at the LA Music Awards.”

Ms. Reese continued, “I have also learned to try to not worry too much about what other people think. I still do to an extent, sometimes I still feel fearful and worried about how I am perceived, especially the older I get, but somehow I just keep going. Being “The Street Angel” has become a huge part of who I am, and I can't shut it off. Sometimes I tone it down, or take breaks, or just be my regular human self, but often I am pushed almost beyond my own will to continue it.” Readers can learn more about her story here: The Calling - How the Angel Project Started - Mandelyn Reese the LA Street Angel - Kindness Acts or by visiting the link on her website:

Mandelyn Reese will be attending some inspiring, gala type events in the fall and winter of this year, and will be planning some workshops as well. She is currently airing the sixth season of her live talk show on her YouTube Channel, Mandelyn Reese Hosts "The Street Angel" Talk Show. Her talk show is also shown on her Facebook page: Mandelyn Reese - "The Street Angel" on Facebook. Reese states, “I started my talk show in a Hollywood Studio, which is where I recorded it for my first 3 seasons. After I left LA, I began doing my talk show streaming from my home studio, which is actually great too, because I now interview people from anywhere in the country and beyond. I've said a few times, that if I positively affect even just one person a day with my mission of kindness and living life authentically then of course, it's meaningful and worthwhile. My talk show is just another cool facet of my "Angel Mission.”

Ms. Reese recently published her first book, which is currently available on Amazon at the following link: “An Angel’s Guide to Manifesting Your Dreams, and A Romantic Relationship.” Reese states, “I'm so grateful to finally finish it. It was something I started working on back in 2018. I started with just a cover design, and then it went from there! Now that I can hold the book completed in my hands, I feel complete. My book is available on Amazon. It's an adult playbook for life-planning, bucket-list development, goal-writing, vision-board pages, & a collection of some of my favorite blogs. I teach people basic principles on manifesting, and then provide the workbook pages for them to write out what's in their soul that they want to have or accomplish in life. The advice and directions I give are things that I have applied in my own life to manifest things that I have wanted, needed, attracted, and created.” Some of the topics that Mandelyn Reese touches upon in her book include, “Dealing with Rejection,” “Someone Who Changes You,” and “Gratitude, & Patience.” Stating, “Probably my favorite blog of all time, which I have included in my book is, "Someone Who Changes You.” This describes how a romantic connection can seem so random and magical, and how it can also have a tendency to really blast your life with changes, as well as have a ripple effect onto others in one’s life or those who simply cross your path.”

Ms. Reese discussed that she “is in search of the right publisher who has the ability to perpetuate her book to a large scale”, and that she “is ready to start to do book signings and to do some healing talks to inspire others.”

When asked what she hopes readers will gain from reading her book, Ms. Reese states, “I want readers to see what I have accomplished and created in life by being true to my authentic self and staying kind; so that they can realize that they, too, can create and accomplish great things by first just listening to their own inner voice. I also want people to know that it's okay to move slowly at times, and take baby steps in reaching one’s goals; just knowing to move at whatever pace works for them and their life. Some days I am extremely productive and do a ton of activity which is what I feel led to do at times, but other days I feel the need to sleep in really late, truly do some self-care and rest. It's important to listen to your body and honor your needs as you go along.” Concluding, “This calling and mission has really added so much to my life. There have been so many priceless memories and epic moments, “from all of the people I’ve been able to meet, the event invitations, the places I’ve traveled to red carpet events, I’m thankful for all of it.”
