MexAmeriCon 2020 Goes Virtual To Showcase Latinx Artists, Culture
The Latinx comic book convention is the first of its kind in Austin, and returns for a third year to spotlight artist and their mediums.
AUSTIN, TX—The community is invited to Austin's first Latinx Comic Book Convention (ComicCon) returning for a third year and premiering entirely online. MexAmeriCon 2020 will be a virtual showcase of Mexican American and Latinx artists working through the medium of comic books, graphic novels, zines and other related media. This event will be held in collaboration with LUPE Arte (lupearte.net) and the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center.
Scheduled online beginning Saturday, Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., admission is free and all are welcome. Enjoy music, an artist alley, interviews and panels on topics relating to comics and Latinx Culture, and more. Participants will have a chance to win cash and prizes, all from the comfort of home.
