Mighty Fine Burgers Fries & Shakes In Austin Sold
Tc4 & Co. Hospitality bought the 5-restaurant chain to its own portfolio of 7 eateries that includes Tony C's Coal Fired Pizza.
AUSTIN, TX — Tc4 & Co. Hospitality on Wednesday announced the acquisition of fellow Austin-based restaurant chain, Mighty Fine Burgers Fries & Shakes.
Formerly owned by K&N Management, Mighty Fine currently has five locations in the Austin area. Tc4 & Co. Hospitality is led by partners Tony Ciola and Creed Ford IV, and is known for its three concepts: Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza, Tony C’s Pizza & Beer Garden, and The League Kitchen and Tavern. Founded in 2011, Tc4 currently owns and operates seven locations of these restaurants in the Austin area, officials said, with a fourth location of The League set to open in early 2021.
“We have been longtime fans of Mighty Fine’s concept, as well as the quality of food and service,” Ford said in a prepared statement. “When this opportunity presented itself, we knew we had to act quick.”

Like the majority of Tc4’s restaurants, Mighty Fine has had success in suburban locations, officials wrote in an advisory. "Mighty Fine is a natural fit for Tc4’s suburb-rooted brands which has been a major factor in Tc4’s past and present success,” Ciola said in a prepared statement.
The acquisition brings Tc4 to an estimated total of 500 employees — up from 250 in 2019 — with total sales projected to triple in less than a year, officials said.

Tc4 is actively looking to expand Mighty Fine’s locations in Austin and other major Texas cities in late 2021 and early 2022, officials added. According to Tc4, changes will be made operationally, but nothing significant that changes the guest experience. "They have a great operation, and we want to sustain what they’ve built,” Ciola said.
Ford added: "We are lucky to have gotten a brand that's been operated so well since 2007 and does such a good job with made-from-scratch foods, made to order, which we do in all of our brands. We’re excited to grow the Mighty Fine brand in the coming years.”
