Online Workshop Teaches Students Ways To Become Eco-Conscious
Keep Austin Beautiful will host an online event to discuss what goes into landfills and ways to reduce waste in your household.
AUSTIN, TX —Keep Austin Beautiful invite the community to an online workshop, Keep Austin Beautiful Zero-Waste Education: Waste by the Numbers via Zoom to learn about what goes into the landfill and ways to reduce waste. The online event scheduled Wednesday, July 8 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. CDT is a family-friendly virtual discussion that teaches participants how to become zero-waste champions. Designed for the high school age youth audience, the workshop will offer insight on ways to become eco-conscious and engaged within the community.
Presented by Generation Zero, the free youth education program works in partnership with Austin Resource Recovery, offers programming that engages students in grades K-12 with fun and interactive activities to advance awareness on recycling, composting and conservation with simple solution for waste reduction.
