Operation Turkey Accepting Meal Requests For Thanksgiving 2020

The volunteer organization accepts individual meal requests to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day.

AUSTIN, TX—As the pandemic continues to impact our day-to-day, with many residents feeling the adverse effects of COVID-19, Operation Turkey will be assisting community members in need and is accepting meal requests for Thanksgiving Day Meals. For 20 years, Operation Turkey has been a 100% volunteer-driven organization without a single paid employee. With a network of more than 35,000 volunteers serving communities across the country, Operation Turkey works to ensure everyone receives a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day.

Austin residents will have the opportunity to request a meal to be delivered on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26. Participants may expect their delivery to arrive between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and each plate represents a meal for one individual containing turkey, stuffing, vegetables, pie, and a drink. Meal requests will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20.
