Overpopulated Austin Animal Shelter Waives Adoption Fees
Austin Pets Alive! will not charge adoption fees this weekend in an effort to find forever homes for animals at crowded facility.
AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Pets Alive! shelters are running at full capacity, prompting officials to waive adoption fees through Sunday.
The waiver applies for all animals from Friday, June 28, through Sunday. "Our high standards for adoption won’t change — just no fees!" officials wrote on Twitter.

- Austin Animal Center: 7201 Levander Loop. Open: 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. every day
- Austin Pets Alive!: 1156 W. Cesar Chavez Street. Open: 11:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. every day
- Austin Humane Society: 124 W. Anderson Lane. Open: 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday
