Pedestrian Hit By Car in Downtown Austin

The man may have sustained potentially serious injuries.

A pedestrian sustained potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car in Downtown Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS. 

The crash happened around 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the EMS, the man is in his 40s. He was unconscious after being hit, but woke up as medics were treating him, according to the EMS. 

The man was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge. There has been no update on his condition.
