Riverside Resources has submitted preliminary plans for the high-end housing to City Hall, according to a report.

AUSTIN, TX -- The cranes that dot the downtown skyline attest to the brisk pace of construction sparked by an ongoing influx of new residents, and now another residential high-rise is planned.

The Austin American-Statesman reported that a 39-story residential tower is being planned for West Third and Colorado streets in the city's Warehouse District. The site is currently occupied by Sullivan's Steakhouse.

Based on the submitted plans the developer filed with the City of Austin, plans for the metal and glass residential tower would include a parking garage and ground-floor restaurant space, the newspaper reported.

A start date and expected end to construction weren't available. Riverside Resources is currently building a luxury condo tower at West Fifth Street and West Avenue, and also developed the upscale Whitley apartment tower in downtown Austin, the newspaper reported.
