SAGE Studio Hosts Exhibition Showcasing Artists From Across World

Home Makers: A Virtual Exhibition displays home-themed works by artists with developmental and intellectual disabilities across mediums.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX —SAGE Studio, whose mission is to connect contemporary artists with disabilities to Texas' broader arts community, invite friends and neighbors to a virtual exhibition celebrating the creativity and talent of artists from across the world. Home Makers: A Virtual Exhibition showcases art ranging in style and medium, with pieces all connected by the central them of 'home'.

Home Makers kicks off Tuesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. and will run through Saturday, October 31. Eighteen artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities will share their works, with this year's online event reflecting the shift in the way we live amid a pandemic, and how communities relate to the idea of home. Works featured in the exhibition were created at home during quarantine, and audiences will have opportunities to observe how 'home' resonates with each of us.

SAGE proudly partners with other progressive studios from around the world—including Creativity Explored in San Francisco, Pure Vision Arts and YAI Arts in New York City, Tierra Del Sol in Los Angeles, Debajo del Sombrero in Madrid, and Project Onward in Chicago—to showcase these incredible artists.
