Move over ladies of Selling Sunset—there’s a new glamazon on the real estate scene, and she’s making herstory in high heels. Austin-based drag superstar, stand-up comedian, and licensed real estate agent Ruby Dickulous is shaking up both the housing market and television landscape with her star-making turn as the first drag queen realtor to be featured on a full episode of HGTV’s House Hunters.

Fabulous, funny, and fiercely focused, Ruby Dickulous isn’t just turning heads, she’s turning keys. Her groundbreaking appearance on one of TV’s most iconic home-buying series isn’t just a personal achievement; it’s a cultural shift. “It feels surreal,” Ruby shares. “Like slipping into a dream I ordered ten years ago that finally arrived.”

A licensed agent since 2011 and a seasoned comedy performer since 2009, Ruby brings more than just charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to the table. She brings professionalism, poise, and a passion for helping people find home, whether it’s on stage or under contract. “Drag sharpened everything,” she explains. “It taught me to show up, stand out, and leave people with a story.”

Ruby’s journey to network television was anything but conventional. After a decade of pushing to bring a drag-centered real estate show to air, she finally found her moment on House Hunters. The result? A dazzling, hilarious, and heartfelt episode that not only showcased her talent but also earned her praise from major celebrities. “Some slid into my DMs,” she laughs. “They forgot to tell their audiences, but I still felt validated.”

Far from a gimmick, Ruby’s glam is real, as are her credentials. She regularly conducts showings in full drag, high heels and all. “I’ve been doing real estate in glam for over a decade,” she says. "What I created to hide from clients ended up being what brought me forward."

Ruby continues to balance her real estate business in Austin with a flourishing comedy career. She recently wrapped performances in Provincetown and Puerto Vallarta (with Parker Posey in attendance on opening night) and an interview on Jeff Lewis LIVE on SiriusXM. Fans can also tune in to The Ruby Dickulous Show on Spotify and YouTube or check out her tour dates at RubyDick.com.

As for what’s next? Ruby’s been in development talks with major production companies for years. While nothing’s officially greenlit yet, she teases that more television is likely on the horizon. “If I end up rating bad Airbnbs dressed like a milkmaid on Tubi, don’t act surprised,” she jokes. “Real estate, comedy, and drag aren’t separate lanes. I built the intersection.”

And she’s not slowing down. Her message to queer creatives and professionals is to stop waiting for permission. “Nobody is coming to hand you the spotlight. Build your own stage, step into it, and let them catch up.”

Meanwhile, Ruby continues helping clients navigate Austin’s dynamic housing market. “Austin is still hot but shifting,” she explains. “There’s more inventory now. East Austin is being scooped up fast, and Leander remains one of the most desirable suburbs.”

Whether she’s slaying a stage or selling a split-level, Ruby Dickulous is proof that authenticity wins. She’s not just breaking molds, she’s building new ones. And in a world that often underestimates the power of personality, Ruby is a one-woman movement reminding us all that there’s no place like a home with a little sparkle.
