American Indian Heritage Day 2019

Friday, Sept. 27 beginning at 9 a.m.

Join the Bullock Museum and Great Promise for American Indians in celebrating the 7th Annual American Indian Heritage Day! The day will feature a range of activities with dancing and drumming performances and interactive experiences for school groups during the morning and an evening program that celebrates the traditional and contemporary performance arts of Texas's American Indian groups.

Benefitting Austin Pets Alive! the 1st annual Fido Fest hosted by Austin Monthly brings its September issue to life, where your furry friends will enjoy an afternoon of games, treats, drinks, and plenty of fun for all! This event is FREE with RSVP, however, a $10 donation at the door get you one drink ticket and a surprise activity at Yard Bar. All proceeds benefit Austin Pets Alive! to promote and provide the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.

LifeKids Fall Festival 2019

Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The LifeKids Fall Festival is a great family event that celebrates the fall and is a fun experience for children of all ages! Attendees will enjoy a wide selection of food trucks, free carnival rides and bounce houses, college football on the big screen, and plenty more. This year, the event partners with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child drive! The world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. If you are able, please bring small items such as colored pencils, markers, crayons, pencil sharpeners, pocket coloring books, or mini notebooks! There will be a drop off station open throughout the event.

3rd Annual St. Elmo Brewing Co. Oktoberfest

Sunday, Sept. 29 beginning at 12 p.m.

Dust off your dirndl and lederhosen and join St. Elmo for its 3rd Annual Oktoberfest! Celebrating in true fashion with German style beer/ German influenced menu from Soursop/ live music and a stein hoist. Polka music and sing along with the Czech Melody Masters from 4-7PM. Join the hoist at 5pm with a chance to win some awesome prizes! There will be two rounds- one for Women and one for Men with a cap of 20 each so sign up early! Costumes strongly encouraged. This event is free and open to the public.

Cinematic Symphony: Sound Waves

Cinematic Symphony, a non-profit community ensemble dedicated to performing the memorable scores of film, television, and video games, present Sound Waves, music from water-themed films performed live under the Capitol Rotunda at noon on Sunday, Sept 29. Now in its 13th year, Cinematic Symphony provides education, entertainment, and cultural enrichment, as well as promoting and renewing interest in the great music of motion pictures. This event is free and open to the public.
