Stronger Austin Day Offers Fun, Interactive Programming
The event will feature a variety of activities for all ages and educates residents on health and wellness services available in Austin.
AUSTIN, TX — Austin is a community that places a premium on the health and wellness of Austin residents. In an effort to build excitement and advance awareness for a Stronger Austin, all are invited to Stronger Austin Day, where attendees will have the opportunity to experience Stronger Austin programming in a fun, interactive health inspired setting.
The event scheduled Saturday, March 14 will run from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and features community organizations, city programs, non-profits and community members working together to build a more equitable Austin through free health, nutrition and fitness activities. The initiative will also allow families to learn about the health and wellness services available in Austin.
Stronger Austin Day will be held at Gus Garcia Recreation Center located at 1201 E. Rundberg Ln., Austin, TX 78753. There will be free family-friendly activities including kids games, basketball, Zumba, Mixxed Fit, cooking demos, health screenings, raffle prizes, bouncy house, face painting, a bike rodeo, and more.
