Police Searching For South Austin Gas Store Robber

Law enforcement officials are looking for a suspect wanted in connection to a South Austin convenience store robbery that occurred in June.

AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department on Thursday sought help from the public in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a South Austin convenience store robbery that took place in June.

The incident dates to Sunday, June 21 around 1:10 a.m. at a Valero gas station on 4602 E. Stassney Lane, according to police.

In an advisory, police said the suspect demanded money from the store employee while displaying a baseball bat before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a Black male with brown eyes, who is between 25-30 years old and standing about six feet tall with a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a brown ski-mask with black lettering, a gray hoodie, blue jean pants and black-and-white sneakers.
