Suspects Wanted In Homicide Investigation At 1030 Norwood Park Blvd. In City Of Austin

Update: The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified two suspects in the November 24 homicide at 1030 Norwood Park Blvd.

Suspect 1: Black 35-year-old man, 6’1”, large build, last seen wearing white T-shirt, white shorts with “Metal Night” print, and white Jordans

Suspect 2: Black 40-year-old man, 5’10”, heavy-set, last seen wearing a black T-shirt, torn blue jean shorts, red/orange running shoes, black mask with white lettering

Suspect Vehicle: Black sedan, possibly a Ford

On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at approximately 10:39 p.m., 9-1-1 received a call of shots fired in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 1030 Norwood Park Blvd. APD officers, along with Austin-Travis County EMS, arrived on the scene and discovered a shooting victim with obvious trauma. The victim was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he succumbed to his injuries. Jose Vasquez was pronounced deceased at 11:20 p.m. by Dr. Bradley.

On November 25, 2021, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and determined the official cause of death as gunshot wound and the manner, homicide.
