The organization is looking to add more space to its downtown location.

SXSW is hoping to find some additional space in downtown Austin.

The organization is planning to rent extra space about a mile away from its 400 Bowie St. location at 1400 Lavaca St., according to the Austin American-Statesman.

The new location was acquired by CZ Properties, a newly formed entity that’s linked to SXSW executive Roland Swenson. The Travis Central Appraisal District valued the property at $3.7 million this year. According to an online listing acquired by the newspaper, the property was actively being marketed earlier this year.
