A Tale Of Two Citizens Spotlights The Plight Of Austin's Homeless

The original radio play centers on the homeless experience and will air to coincide with Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

AUSTIN, TX—Gathering Ground Theatre, a theater group largely comprising people who experience homelessness in Austin, is staging a play focused on the struggle for some residents in securing housing.

The theater group creates work on myriad topics related to the experience of homelessness, along with the social structures impacting the status.

A Tale of Two Citizens: A People's Struggle with Housing in the Capital City is a collaboration with ¡Basta! and will air to coincide with Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Scheduled on Sunday (Nov. 15) from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the radio play will also feature a panel and week of action to follow.
