AUSTIN, TX — Gov. Greg Abbott is scheduled to stage a roundtable discussion in Austin on Thursday centered on public safety and law enforcement, his office announced.

The specific topic of conversation was vague in an advisory released on Wednesday by Abbott's office: "During the roundtable, the governor will discuss his legislative priorities for ensuring a safer future for the state of Texas," the advisory read. Abbott was expected to answer reporters' questions following the roundtable discussion, the governor wrote.

The event is slated to take place at the Texas Department of Public Safety building at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd. starting at 11:45 a.m. Among those expected to attend are:
