UT Law seeks a full-time legal-writing teacher for 2016–17, to teach two sections (approx. 20-25 students each) of the required legal-writing courses each semester. The job includes these duties: teaching classes, holding student conferences, training and supervising teaching assistants, creating writing problems, commenting on student papers, judging oral arguments, and serving on faculty committees. The position is at the University status of Lecturer, with a 9-month contract (September–May) at $80,000 plus insurance and retirement benefits. The contract may be renewed and can lead to rolling three-year contracts.
