The Austin area can expect thunderstorms through the weekend and a sharp drop in temperatures Friday night, the National Weather Service said.
Hurricane Sandra, a storm in the Pacific off the coast of Mexico, will bring a lot of moisture, while a cold front moving in could make for some ugly weather through the weekend.
