Truluck's To Open Austin Sites At Bolstered Occupancy
The populuar restaurant announced its reopening after the governor allowed eateries to open at 50 percent occupancy.
AUSTIN, TX — Truluck’s Austin-area locations at the Arboretum and downtown reopened on Tuesday for dine-in at 50 percent occupancy, carry-out and curbside pick-up officials said.
The bolstered occuapancy limits come on the heels of a Monday gubernatorial executive order allowing for restaurant operators to serve at 50 percent capacity amid the pandemic — up from 25 percent. In announcing their reopening, officials of Truluck's said precautions would still be observed. Among those measures:
- All staff wearing frequently changed masks and gloves – White gloves, of course; it’s Truluck’s.
- Single-use menus.
- Eliminated use of touch-screen check presenters.
- Credit/debit card payment only (no cash accepted).
- All staff undergoing daily health screenings.
- Additional hand sanitizer stations.
- Stringent cleaning and sanitation.
- Premises routinely deep-cleaned and sanitized by professional sanitation service in COVID-19 prevention-specific protocols.
Both locations will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will be closed Sunday and Monday. Restaurants will be serving a modified menu centered on Truluck’s signature dishes such as Miso Glazed Seabass and Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and an array of house-made desserts.
