CEDAR PARK, TX —As election season draws near, many voters are educating themselves to how to make informed choices at the polls. The Interreligious Eco-Justice Network, a faith-based environmental organization that works to inspire and empower religious communities to be stewards of the planet, will host Modern Environmental Politics: Why Voting Is Your Superpower on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. CDT and will offer insight on big data, behavioral science, and why voting is your "super power".

The online discussion will explain why environmentalist may not be voting as much as they should, but will explore how advances in data analytics and behavioral science offer a new reality for 2020 and beyond. Speaker and voter turnout expert Nathaniel Stinnet of Environment Voter Project will discuss how modern political campaigns identify and mobilize voters, and how that impacts environmental policy at the local, state, and federal level.
