Virtual Event Promotes Nature-Rich Experiences For Young Children

The online event offers advice and tools to help parents and caregivers foster a love of nature at an early age.

AUSTIN, TX —Healthy Living Matters, a Houston/Harris County Childhood Obesity Prevention Collaborative, invite parents and caregivers to learn ways to offer infants and toddlers nature-rich experiences to help foster a love of nature at an early age. The virtual event, Supporting Infants & Toddlers in Nature-Rich Outdoor Environments is scheduled Friday, June 5 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Participants will analyze possible natural materials for this age group and discuss video clips of infants in action in nature. The online event will focus on ways to support high quality learning experiences for infants and toddlers by incorporating nature into their environments and daily routines.
