Volunteers Needed To Help Sort PPE Donations

Austin Public Health and Dell Medical School need volunteers in April to sort and pack PPE donations for distribution to medical community.

AUSTIN, TX —Austin Public Health and a team from Dell Medical School is working to organize volunteers to help sort donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be distributed to Austin healthcare workers working the front lines of the coronavirus, or COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers will need to sort and move light weight items and package boxes for distribution to the medical community.

Volunteers may also be asked to fill bottles from bulk hand sanitizer also for distribution to area healthcare professionals. The volunteer opportunities will require some training including familiarization with the process. There are multiple dates available to register, and Austin Public Health and Dell Medical School organizers greatly appreciate all those who are able to sign up for multiple dates in the coming weeks.
