WilCo Animal Shelter Launches 'Home For The Holidays' Effort
The annual initiative makes it easier for any animal one year old and older to to go home with a family for the holiday season.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — With the colder weather coming — not to mention the joy of the holiday season — there might be no better time than to welcome a furry, loving companion to one's household.
We're talking pets, and we're talking the Home For The Holidays fostering program at the Williamson County Animal Shelter. The annual initiative makes it easier for any animal one year old and older — up to date on all shots and has been spayed/neutered — to go home with a family for the holiday season, county officials wrote in an advisory.
Shelter officials paint the holiday tableau: "Celebrate the holidays with a dog or cat (or both!) snuggled up near the fire, relaxing at your side while you watch a holiday classic with the family, or enjoying a leisurely walk in the cooler temperatures."
