2 Lock-Downs In 2 Days At East Austin School Amid Weapon Reports

EAST AUSTIN, TX — LBJ Early College High School was placed on lock-down mode for the second day in a row on Tuesday after a report of a weapon on case, according to a news report.

An Austin ISD spokesperson told KXAN police were called to the campus at 7309 Lazy Creed Dr. on Tuesday but didn't find a weapon, prompting the lock-down to be lifted. The day before, another lock-down was implemented amid reports of a suspicious person near campus who supposedly had a weapon. Again, the search for the weapon or suspect were fruitless.

It's unclear if the incidents are related, the spokesperson told the news station.

Located near U.S. 183 and Manor Road, the school shares a campus with the Liberal Arts and Science Academy High School.
