App-Based Briggo Sets Up Coffee Shop At Austin Airport
App-based, robotic, 24/7 specialty coffee system that alerts customers via text when their tailored cup of java is ready,

AUSTIN, TX – Austin-based Briggo hosted the grand opening of their app-based coffee machine in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Tuesday.
The unusual nature of this coffee shop is its automation, an app-based, robotic, 24/7 specialty coffee system that alerts customers via text when their tailored cup of java is ready. The installation at ABIA marks the first time the app-based café has been installed in an airport anywhere in the world.
At the ABIA unveiling, Briggo representatives provided demonstrations and presented the wide range of menu options from coffee to hot chocolate. Located across from Gate 8, the automated barista allows travelers, airline crews, and airport employees to order remotely from the app or at the Coffee Haus and customize their coffee, hot chocolate or Chai tea.

App users then receive a text when the order is ready to pick up. Briggo’s “Connected Coffee” experience is a customizable gourmet espresso and iced coffee drink on-demand system that uses a whole-bean Latin American coffee blend, fresh dairy, and gourmet syrups. The drink orders are delivered through a mobile app and robotic Coffee Haus. Learn more at www.briggo.com.
To celebrate the grand opening at the airport, Briggo has teamed up with Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare service in the U.S. Starting opening day (July 17) through Labor Day (September 3, 2018), any customer who purchases a Briggo beverage from the new location will be immediately eligible for a 15% discount on their next Lyft ride to or from Austin-Bergstrom (limit one per customer).

Given the airport's record 13.89 million passengers in 2017, and a 14 percent increase in traffic so far in 2018 at the Barbara Jordan Terminal, ABIA is the perfect location for Briggo’s high-speed, always-on coffee experience, Briggo officials said in a press release.
Coffee lovers beyond Austin will have the opportunity to enjoy the Briggo experience as ABIA is connected to more than 80 nonstop destinations worldwide, officials added.
“We are excited to partner with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Delaware North to bring connected coffee to the Austin community and its visitors," Kevin Nater, CEO of Briggo, said in a prepared statement. "Just imagine the power and efficiency of customizing and ordering your coffee via the app as you make your way through security, then swinging by Briggo on the way to your gate without missing a beat. No more guesswork, no more long lines.”
Nater added the ABIA location dovetails from the response the robotic coffee house had in March during SXSW: “We had such an amazing response to the connected coffee experience at this year’s SXSW Festival, and we expect an even greater global demand once we’re operating inside Austin’s airport at all hours of the day, every day of the year. We’re proud to call Austin home, where we build and operate all of our Coffee Hauses, and we expect to continue to add jobs and build our footprint here and beyond in the coming months.”
