Bring Your Dog and Eat Some Ice Cream at East Austin Pet Charity Event on Sept. 20

Barkhappy.com, a mobile app that let’s you connect with other dogs, dog owners and dog-friendly businesses, is teaming up with Amy’s Ice Cream for the first ever BarkHappy Charity Doggy Ice Cream Social.

The event will take place at Fair Market at 1110 E. 5th Street on Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will raise money for Austin Pets Alive! and Service Dogs Inc. The event invitation says there will be free beer and ice cream, free nail trimming for your pet, doggy tattoos and a free dog treat buffet.

There will also be a K9 agility course, a fire hydrant ring toss and raffle prizes -- and an ice cream eating contest for dogs.
