Your Guide to Dia de Los Muertos in East Austin
East Austin will celebrate the lineup this Saturday with a diverse music lineup.

Celebrate Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with other Austinites at Fiesta Gardens on Oct. 17.
The Mexican holiday is a favorite amongst Texans, and from noon - 10 p.m., you can enjoy music, holiday arts and crafts, and traditional food with the community. Easter Seals Central Texas, a nonprofit that provides services to help children and adults with disabilities, launched the event two years ago to engage with the community in a culturally relevant way. The festival’s musical lineup has grown each year, and this year organizers secured Grammy award-winning Tejano musician Emilio Navaira as the headliner. Other notable acts include Venezuela’s Latin alternative rock stars La Vida Bohéme, who are both South by Southwest and ACL Fest alumni, and Kinski Gallo, an ex member of L.A. bilingual rock band Monte Negro, who brings the crowd to the dance floor with his electronica and cubmia beats.
