'Dog and Duck Pub' Reopening in East Austin
The pub has completely revamped its food menu.

Dog & Duck Pub - a staple of the Austin community - is set to reopen it doors in East Austin as early as next week.
The English-style pub was a favorite on the UT campus in downtown for years. Co-owner Jeff McKillop told Austin360 that after one last round of inspections this week, the bar will begin serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as beer and wine, at 2400 Webberville Rd., Ste. A.
The new location is in a smaller space, but still boasts the same English charm that the old location had. Dog & Duck Pub has been serving pub food and beer to Austinites since 1990. The classic tin ceiling, fireplace and dog-and-duck statue are all coming back to the new pub, along with the wood floor in the form of wainscoting along the walls and the original bar. New arrivals include an owner-led program involving 33 beer taps that will carry local and international brews and a food menu that has completely been reconstructed.

“We’ll have a revamped menu that is more English than at the old location, and we’re hoping to be able to be open for breakfast,” McKillop told the newspaper, listing fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and Scotch eggs as just a few of the items you’ll find at the new Dog & Duck. He and co-owner Susan Forrester plan to post it the updated menu on the Dog & Duck website later this week.
Dog & Duck will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily.
