Have Yourself A Merry Motown Christmas At East Austin Venue

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Have yourself a Merry Motown Christmas, may your days be soulful.

In celebration of the holidays, Hotel Van Zandt’s annual 12 Days of Christmas series is back, organizers said. With this has come what's been described as a "sparkling" lineup of festivities began this month that will wrap up on Saturday, Dec. 15 with a Motown Christmas-inspired performance at Geraldine’s by R&B singer-songwriter Tje Austin.

Admission is free for the 8 p.m. Dec. 15 showcase at Geraldine’s, located at 605 Davis St. The Rainey Street restaurant is capping off its series with a winter wonderland at the restaurant's fourth-floor pool deck, holiday cocktails and live music. The setup will include festive goodies such as a holiday cookie dessert bar, a fireplace, specialty holiday cocktails and more.

In addition to the Motown Christmas event, Geraldine’s has been keeping the live music going all month long with their December artists in residence, including Kate Priestley Duo, Suzanna Choffel and Shy Beast. The full December lineup of live music performance and events can be viewed here.
