617 Congress Ave

Yelp reviewer Diya L. from New York, NY said: “Good drinks selection, ice cream, coffee-ice cream shakes, Sugar Mama’s cupcakes, gluten-free cookies, sandwiches, breakfast tacos for $2.75, and bagels. For a small shop they keep a pretty large selection of local food products. I didn’t try the food but the green tea was delicious and refills are only $1.”

3. Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors

515 Congress Ave

Yelp reviewer Marianna K. from San Mateo, CA said: “This place has a true “Austin” vibe, with friendly and ‘easy’ service, cool decor, great local (TX) and SF/Portland beans, a few friends hanging out around the counter and chatting with barista - it’s like you walked into someone’s living room during a study-party and getting a super delish cup of coffee.”

4. Sa-Ten

916 Springdale Rd, Bldg 3, Ste 101

Yelp reviewer Gary H. from Austin, TX said: “Their coffee is legit. Love the Iced Vanilla Latte and the Iced Saifa. And definitely get something to eat. Their toasts are godlike! My eyes roll back every time I take a bite out of the toast. Chicken Kara-age is solid, as well as the dinner plates. Their curry is true to Japan.”

5. Bennu Coffee

2001 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

Yelp reviewer Raquel J. from Austin, TX said:“Bennu Coffee- where do I begin? Bennu is a godsend to the students of UT. Not only does Bennu offer an extensive selection of delicious mocha flavors, but the size of the mochas are very generous. Everything that I have tried on the menu has been more than satisfactory. Aside from the never-disappointing coffee, Bennu has the atmosphere of your weird great aunt’s sitting room- meaning, it’s mysteriously cozy and adept with power outlets for an extended study visit with your laptop. Stay for an hour or all night, Bennu is open and giving great service 24 hours a day.”
