'Juniper' Opens in East Austin

A new Italian restaurant opens Tuesday evening in East Austin.

Modern Italian cuisine will be on the Juniper’s menu, located at 2400 E. Cesar Chavez St. Uchi veteran Nicholas Yanes will serve as executive chef at East Austin’s newest eatery. The chefs will inspiration from Northern Italy, with dishes like Ears on Ears (orecchiette pasta with crispy pig ears, charred broccolini and pecorino) and oxtail and rosemary Lasagna, according to Austin360. 

The building features 18-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass. There’s a bar menu in the lounge, a 12-seat chef’s counter, a main dining room, and a family-style table for eight. There’s also outdoor dining available in the courtyard.

Juniper is open Tuesday-Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday for brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday for brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
