Noted Ceramicist To Open East Austin Showroom
The work of Keith Kreeger is admired at some of the city's finest restaurants atop entrées, and come February they can be purchased.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — If you've visited some of the city's finest restaurants — Olamaie, Emmer & Rye, Uchi to name a few — you've seen his handiwork in the form of the plates on which entrées are served.
Now, ceramicist Keith Kreeger will offer his stunning wares at a namesake gallery opening up in East Austin, CultureMap reports. The Keith Kreeger Studios Showroom is scheduled to open in mid-February.
The artist has been crafting his singular ceramic pieces since 2009 after moving from Cape Cod, Mass. Guided by a mantra insisting that "objects matter," his dishes, bowls and vases reflect his penchant for clean and modern design while maintaining a handmade feel, the website noted.

Utilitarian, yes. But his work also transcends into an aesthetic realm worthy of being installed along other gallery-quality sculpture, CultureMap observed.
“This new showroom will showcase our entire collection on a day-to-day basis,” Kreeger explained in a press release announcing the showroom opening. “I’m so excited for this next step for Keith Kreeger Studios. People in Austin have been interacting with my work during their evenings out at many of our city’s great restaurants. Now they can bring the pieces into their homes.”

Available for purchase at the showroom will be popular sets such as the minimalist Gramercy collection comprising monochromatic dinnerware assortments adorned with subtle artifice conjuring depictions of a sound wave. Also for sale will be unique hand-thrown bowls and large-scale vases.
The showroom is scheduled to open Feb. 12 at the Canopy on Springdale Road, with hours of operation Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. To see more of Kreeger's singular work, click here.
