Popsicle Dash Austin Makes Its Sweet Debut on Saturday, July 19

Things are about to get exciting in Central Texas! Get ready to beat the heat and hit your stride at the inaugural Popsicle Dash Austin on Saturday, July 19 beginning at Dell Diamond (3400 E. Palm Valley Boulevard in Round Rock). This event is produced by Lonestar Running Company (LRC) and is the second in the chill-est three event summer race series around (the first-ever Lemonade Dash Austin was on May 31 and the next event – the first Watermelon Dash Austin will take place Saturday, August 16). All of these newly-rolled out events aim at serving up fun for runners and walkers alike!

This event features a 5K and 10K starting at 7:30 a.m., followed by a refreshing awards ceremony at 9:15 a.m. and a cool Kids & Family 1K at 9:30 a.m. Whether you're a seasoned runner, walker or a stroller-pushing parent, all are invited to make memories with family and friends and enjoy plenty of icy treats as a reward at the finish line. Free parking is available onsite; follow the signs as you wear your best popsicle-colored gear.

But there’s more to this event than just smiles and sticky high-fives. Proceeds from Popsicle Dash Austin benefit the Nolan Ryan Foundation, which has been pitching in for the community since 1990. Now based in Round Rock, the Foundation supports youth programs, education and community development across the Texas region.
