Service Road Near U.S. 290, 183 Reopens After Tanker Truck Rollover

The roads reopened on Wednesday morning.

The service road near U.S. 290 and U.S. 183 reopened on Wednesday morning after emergency crews responded to a crash on Tuesday evening involving a tanker truck near the highway interchange, according to the Austin Fire Department.

According to the AFD, the truck rolled over in the 7600 block of the U.S. 290 frontage road. The crash caused the tanker to leak fuel, which crew workers contained around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. Crews moved to offload the leaked fuel into another tank, according to the AFD.

The driver’s condition is currently unknown.
