Yelp reviewer Christine Y. from Austin, TX said: “Whisler’s is my all-time favorite “backyard bar” on the east side. It’s hip and hoppin’ but with a laid-back and cozy vibe to it. Usually at a food/drink establishment, I prefer to sit indoors when given a choice because of Texas’ moody weather. However, Whisler’s is one of the few places where I love, love, love their outdoor patio. The outdoor seating area is spacious with many nooks and crannies to choose from, there’s cute strung lights, and lots of good energy.”

Yelp reviewer Margaret B. from Austin, Tx said: “The bartender is warm, friendly and doesn’t hurry you into ordering a drink but man oh man those cocktails are soooo good. Light, tasty, and non-pretentious, whatsoever. I had the Bee Sting and the Gin and Jam. Both, super delicious and deceptively simple. My friend and I had a memorable time finding the place on the East Side and chilling out with some dranks on a Sunday night, watching Dragonheart 3; The Sorcerer’s Curse play on the tv and listening to blues on the jukebox.
Yelp reviewer Jens B. from Austin, TX said: “What a unique find this was. It’s a truly simple bar with a nice open patio area. The have a great sense of humor in the cozies they give out. You can write your name on it. Once you have completed your stay, the cozie has a magnet on it so you can chuck to the roof and it sticks on the stainless steel ceiling. Great stuff. Beers were all nice and cold and there was a large selection and the bartender that night made some killer drinks. Later in the evening, a single musician was there performing some great licks on the guitar and some hilarious songs. It’s intimate and fun. A great Sat Day drink place. They have some great events such as a biker night which looks to be a blast. We will definitely be by again.”

Yelp reviewer Pesh T. from Austin, TX said: “1st time here and this place is a gem! I came here just after opening time and there was already a nice little crowd of people and more seeping in. We sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a nice too-cool-for-school bartender. I ordered the iron whip. I see why it’s rated one of the best frozen drinks in Austin! It’s cool almost creamy texture and delicious orange creamsicle like taste had me hooked. After just 2 of them I was buzzed and feeling the need to groove! They’ve also got $3 wells with a heavy pour and seemed to have a nice selection of beers! I will definitely be back!”
