HOUSTON, TX — A five-vehicle crash in the Galleria area Monday afternoon killed a 68-year-old woman, Houston police confirmed.

HPD said the woman, has not yet been identified, was driving a white Ford Expedition northbound on Hillcroft when she crossed several lanes in a possible attempt to make a left turn onto Westheimer Road. She crashed into a white Chrysler 300 and a white Ford van, which were both stopped at the light while headed southbound on Voss.

A brown Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a silver Toyota were also struck in the crash. The woman who veered across the lanes in her Expedition died at the scene. The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.
