River Oaks is reporting 3 new cases since Wednesday for a total of 2,219 cases since tracking began of which overall 2,136 have been reported to recover but again this week have added another death for a total of 27 that have died city-wide since tracking began therefore, leaving 56 active cases.Tarrant County is reporting today 452 new cases today for a total of 557,299 cases of which 452,671 are confirmed and 104,628 are probable cases. 530,424 are estimated to have recovered but with 45 more deaths reported since Wednesday, the number of deaths has risen since the last report to a total of 5,607 overall in Tarrant County. Tarrant County hospital bed occupancy by COVID-19 patients is down to 6%. The community spread level though still high has dropped to 0.48 which means the virus spread is decreasing. Omicron is at least 4 times easier to spread than the Delta Variant because it gets past our immune defenses. Time will tell how severe infections are, especially in those not previously vaccinated or infected. 62% of all Tarrant County residents 5 years and older have now been fully vaccinated, 56% of all ages of Tarrant County Residents have been fully vaccinated. 17% of all Tarrant County that is 5-years and older has taken the booster. COVID-19 causes respiratory illness with cough, fever and shortness of breath and may lead to bronchitis and severe pneumonia.
