George H.W. Bush Still In Hospital, But Conscious And Talking
The 41st president is still in ICU recovering from an infection, but he's responding and says he still wants to go to Maine this summer.

HOUSTON, TX — Former president George H.W. Bush remains in intensive care at Harris Methodist Hospital on Tuesday after contracting an infection that spread to his blood. He was admitted on Sunday morning, not even 24 hours after the burial of Barbara Bush, his wife of 73 years.
His office released a statement Monday that said the 41st president is responding to treatments and he appears to be recovering. Family spokesman Jim McGrath said Tuesday that Bush is conscious and talking. Bush even has vacation plans this summer.
"The 41st President wants to go to Maine this summer. He’s the most goal-oriented person on the planet, and I would not bet against him,” McGrath said.
