George H.W. Bush To Remain In Hospital To Regain Strength
Spokesman of the 41st president said George H.W. Bush remains in good spirits and looks to continue regaining his strength.

HOUSTON, TX — Former president George H.W. Bush will remain in Houston methodist Hospital for yet another day, his spokesman said through at tweet at noon Monday.
Jim McGrath said last Friday the 41st president would remain in the hospital through the weekend to continue recovery and regain strength. On Monday he said Bush will "continue regaining strength. 41 is in great spirits and is looking forward to going home soon."

George H.W. Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Sunday, April 22 after he contracted an infection that spread to his blood, not even 24 hours after the burial of Barbara Bush, his wife of 73 years. His office released a statement the following day that said the 41st president was responding to treatments and he appeared to be recovering.
Last Tuesday H.W. Bush was more cognizant and talking, and by Wednesday he was removed from intensive care and placed into a regular hospital room.
