Houston Man Proud Of His 'COVF3FE' License Plate
"It's a giant, roaring, middle finger to the establishment," crows Chad Wixon.
HOUSTON, TX — No one knows that the word means, but that hasn't stopped people from using it, talking about it, and putting it on coffee mugs, T-shirts, and bumper stickers. And license plates.
We're talking about "covfefe," the word that President Donald Trump tweeted out at 12:30 a.m on May 31, to the consternation and confusion of millions of people around the world.
Chad Wixon, a Houston pick-up truck owner, doesn't care what the word means, he just likes the message it sends: "It's a giant, roaring, middle finger to the establishment," Wixon said, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.

Wixon said that he and some friends were talking about the word, and decided that he needed to order a personalized license plate bearing "covfefe," which is exactly what he did.

Unfortunately, another Texas motorist was quicker on the draw, so Wixon had to settle for "COVF3FE." The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles confirmed that "COVFEFE" had already been reserved.

"Apparently, we weren't the only ones with the idea," Wixon said. "I picked the best spelling that was available and still conveys the message."
When asked what he thought the "word" meant, Wixon said, "I think Samuel Morse summed it up in his first telegraph, 'What hath God wrought?'"
Wixon and the other Texan are not the only Americans eager to adorn their vehicles with a nonsensical word. According to various reports, the letters have been ordered by drivers in at least 21 states, including Greg Cooper, an attorney in California.
