Reps. Brady, Culberson Among 13 Texas Lawmakers In Train Crash
Kevin Brady, John Culberson, Pete Olson and Senator Ted Cruz, and 8 more Texas lawmakers, were involved in the fatal Amtrak crash Wednesday.

Houston-area U.S. Representatives Kevin Brady, John Culberson and Pete Olson were aboard the Amtrak train carrying GOP lawmakers that crashed into a truck Wednesday morning. Senator Ted Cruz was also aboard the train. All lawmakers and their families were safe, but the man driving the garbage collection truck died.
Culberson represents the 7th Congressional District that encompasses River Oaks, Bellaire, Meyerland, the Galleria area and more of West Houston. Olson represents the 22nd District in Sugar Land and Brady represents the 8th District that spans over nine counties north of Houston. Those counties include Harris, Montgomery, Grimes, SanJacinto, Walker, Madison, Trinity, Houston and Leon.
The train was headed to Greenbriar, West Virginia, for a Republican retreat following Tuesday night's State of the Union Speech by President Donald Trump. Culberson tweeted out Wednesday he and his wife were safe, but asked for prayers for others involved.
