How To Watch The Houston Marathon This Weekend
The marathon and half marathon Sunday will traipse all over the Bayou City, but inside most of the loop, of course.

HOUSTON, TX — The streets of downtown will be blocked off most of the morning Sunday as the annual Chevron Houston Marathon gets underway. The marathon will have starts at 6:45 a.m. and 7 a.m. The wheelchair half marathon begins at 6:45 a.m. and the half marathon begins at 7 a.m.
The weather should be chilly but comfortable for those not running but wanting to cheer the athletes along the route, which begins downtown at Congress and San Jacinto and ends at Lamar and Crawford.
The 26.2-mile Chevron Houston Marathon and 13.1-mile Aramco Houston Half Marathon both take the same route for more than 7.5 miles, which is to head west down Congress for a little more than two miles before turning left on Heights Blvd. and Waugh, then it turns right on W. Gray near the 5-mile mark and then left on Kirby all the way to Bissonet, where it turns back to the east (don't worry, the attached map has the routes, too).
