J.J. Watt Sending His New Shoe Line To U.S. Troops In Afghanistan
What started as a simple request from a soldier turned into yet another incredible act of generosity from the NFL guy who can't stop giving

HOUSTON, TX — J.J. Watt just doesn't know when to quit. Being a good guy, that is. Moments after Watt unveiled his new signature shoe line in a tweet, a follower apparently deployed to Afghanistan asked if they could be shipped there.
"Do you ship to Afghanistan? I'm deployed and would love a pair," the follower said.
Watt responded almost immediately: "I don’t think it’s on the normal distribution map, but I’ll make sure that we find a way to make it happen. DM me your size and the address."

Another Twitter follower of Watt's chimed in, strongly suggesting that Watt just send the soldier a pair of shoes free of charge. The five minutes later, Watt tweeted, "Great idea. Send your whole unit’s sizes."

I hope that Soldier’s money is no good. Ship the man some shoes, hell, ship them a whole bunch of shoes.

A lot of people don't realize how good of a man JJ is. His generosity helped our middle school in TN purchase new unis and helmets and pads. Forever @JJWatt fan!!!!

Watt, one of the most feared defensive linemen in all of football, is no stranger to helping people in need off the field. Most recently, Watt spearheaded a charge to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief. What began as a goal of $200,000 turned into a fundraising effort of more than $37 million. For his efforts, Watt was named Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson of the Year along with Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.
